First, the driver/guide will pick you up from your Fes lodging at 8 a.m., and after breakfast, we will proceed south to Merzouga through Midelt and Errachidia. Then, the driver will tell you about the history of our nation as well as the Amazigh (Berber) history in North Africa. You will go to Midelt through the Middle Atlas highlands and cedar woodland. However, your first stop will be in Ifrane, known as Morocco’s Switzerland, a charming ski resort, and Azrou, an important handicraft center specializing in cedar woodwork. Afterward, you’ll visit Morocco‘s largest cedar forest, which is famous. There, you will get the chance to see and take pictures of Barbarian apes.
After taking the route to Midelt across the Middle Atlas, where you can observe the same family nomadic and tiny Berber hamlet, you may stop for lunch in Midelt, and your adventure continues along the stunning Ziz Valley. As a result, make pauses along the way for panoramic views. We will next pass through Berber communities on our way to Erfoud. We’ve reached Merzouga at last.
